Flights, lunches, dinners, tips, insurance, visas and monument tickets are not included.
Before you compare plans, you need to know exactly what each one covers. A clear list of inclusions saves you from unpleasant surprises, and it makes comparing operators fairer.
This page sets out what is included in our private Golden Triangle journeys, what is not and how we handle the items you arrange yourself. We keep to what is confirmed and do not add extras we cannot promise.
The car and driver
Every journey includes a private air-conditioned car and a driver for the whole trip. The same driver stays with you between cities and at each stop, so you are not changing vehicles or waiting for a transfer. The vehicle is yours for the whole journey, not shared with other travellers.
Airport or hotel pickup and drop are part of the journey. Your driver meets you on arrival and takes you to your hotel, and at the end of the trip takes you to the airport or station. Tell us your flight details so that we can time the pickup. We confirm the pickup time with you before you fly, so there is no doubt about who to look for.
Bottled water is provided in the car. This is a small thing, but on a long drive in hot weather it matters.
Guides in each city
A licensed local guide joins you in each city for the sightseeing. The guide explains the history, handles entry at the monuments and helps you avoid unwanted approaches outside them. Tell us about language needs when we plan, and we will say what can be arranged.
Guides change from city to city, because each knows its own place best. Your driver stays constant, and your guide meets you at the hotel or at the first sight of the day. You will always know who is meeting you and where, because we send names and contact details beforehand.
If you have particular interests, such as photography, food or a quieter pace, tell us and we will brief the guide accordingly. We do not claim specific guide credentials beyond being licensed locally.
Hotels and breakfast
Multi-day journeys include hotels in the category you choose, with breakfast each day. We arrange hotels by category, such as five-star or heritage palace, and confirm the exact property with you when planning. We do not name hotels in advance. The hotel category and the breakfast are confirmed in your plan, so you know exactly what you will receive.
Single-day journeys do not include a hotel, since there is no overnight stay. If you want a hotel night in Delhi before or after your trip, tell us when you write and we can include it in the plan. If your plan includes a longer stay in one city, the hotel category applies to every night.
Facilities such as pools, spa treatments or private dinners vary by property and are not promised. If any of these matter to you, ask when we plan and we will say what can be discussed.
What is not included
Flights are not included. This covers international flights to and from India and any domestic flight between cities, for example to Udaipur or Varanasi. You book these yourself, and we advise on timing.
Monument entry tickets are not included in the journey. We arrange them for you so that you do not queue to buy them, but they are paid for separately and we confirm the details with your plan. Lunches and dinners are also not included, so you can eat where and what you like, and breakfast is the only meal covered. We explain the details of tickets in your plan, so that you know what to expect on arrival at each monument.
Tips for the guides and driver are not included, and neither are travel insurance and visas. Visas and insurance are your own responsibility, and entry rules change, so check the official sources. We are happy to answer general questions. Because these items depend on your own choices, we leave them with you and answer any questions in advance.
Support while you travel
WhatsApp support from our Agra team is included. If you have a question, a delay or a change of plan, you can message us, and we reply as soon as we can. The team that planned your trip is the same team that answers your messages.
We stay reachable throughout the trip, including when a flight changes or a monument closes unexpectedly. Because the journey is private, we can often adjust the day without disturbing the rest of the plan. That includes help with small things such as a late dinner or a change of meeting time.
Before you travel, we also send a final itinerary with names and contact details of the people meeting you, so you know who to look for on arrival.
How to read any inclusion list
When you compare plans from any operator, look for precision. Does it say who the guide is, whether tickets are covered, which meals are included and how pickups are handled? Vague wording is where surprises usually hide. A clear list that names each item is a good sign.
Ask whether the rate is per person or per group, whether the car is private or shared and what happens if the plan changes. A clear answer to each of these tells you a lot about how the trip will run. Our inclusion list is short on purpose, because we would rather promise a little and deliver it.
