Day1
The evening in Agra
The plan starts in the late afternoon, when your driver collects you from your hotel and your guide briefs you on what to expect.
Night viewing is arranged in small timed batches, booked in advance on the official channel.
Each group is admitted for a short while and views the monument from a set area, so this is a quiet look at moonlit marble rather than a long walk through the gardens.
Your guide explains the tomb, its symmetry and the way the light changes on the white stone.
Before or after your slot, the car can take you to Mehtab Bagh, the riverside garden facing the Taj, or to a dinner stop of your choice.
Afterwards the car returns you to the hotel.
Wear layers, because the evening air by the river can turn cool in winter, and carry only a small bag, since security checks at the gate are thorough.
If you choose dinner, your guide can suggest a restaurant that suits your taste, and the driver waits so that nothing feels rushed.
The whole evening, from the hotel pickup to the return, usually takes around four to five hours, depending on the time of your slot.
Please keep the evening free.
Note. The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so the order of days may shift. December and January fog can flatten a sunrise.

Questions
Good to know
Can I see the Taj Mahal at night on any date?
No. Night viewing is available only on the full moon night and a couple of nights on either side. It is never offered on Fridays or during Ramadan, so we check the official calendar against your travel dates.
Are tickets guaranteed?
No. Entry is in small batches booked in advance on the official channel, and we cannot promise a place. We tell you early if your dates do not line up, so you can plan around it.
What if the sky is cloudy?
Cloud can hide the moon and sometimes the monument itself. We cannot change the weather, but we can still make the evening worthwhile with Mehtab Bagh and dinner.
How long do we spend inside?
A short while, viewed from a set area. Your guide explains the monument beforehand so you make good use of the time.
